The Ash Falls
Much mentioned but this is our main waterfall. A 40 foot beauty that sits nicely within the estate at Ashburnham.
It was rarely visited before the current owner, David Swannell, built steps from the main house - just over 400 altogether.
You can take those down or wind your way more easily along the old estate road, now a track, that passes the tennis court.
Fine for swimming in, and even better for showering under.
The Cascade Pool…
At the top of the main waterfall, a Cascade Pool makes an ideal swimming spot - the pool being a little deeper. The far corner offers a cooling natural jacuzzi.
Late afternoons at The Cascade can be wonderfully beautiful, the light often enhanced with suitalbe refreshment.
